What is “Ballywhack”
Our name is derived from the creek that travels along Tanyard Hill Road, under the streets of the historic town, and into the awaiting Occoquan River.
While we like to provide a friendly and fun environment, our core values are to remain as Local & Sustainable as possible. We accomplish this by sourcing locally roasted coffee and proudly serving locally baked gluten-free products and bread upon request, while doing our best to promote a sustainable environment and consciousness by using earth-friendly packaging
About Occoquan
Originally an 18th-century mill town on the Occoquan River, The Town of Occoquan is now a charming restored artists community brimming with attractions, neighborhood shops, small businesses, and scenic parks, making it one of Virginia’s best small-towns and lovable getaways.
Our Café location is conveniently located at the entrance of town on Commerce Street, directly off of 123 and just north of I-95.
The Shack’s Mill Street location is at the heart of the town and makes for an ideal quick eats stop on a day enjoyed exploring and shopping.
